Frejya (Single)

New Release

“Freyja” by Earth Tree Healing is out now, and it’s absolutely breathtaking.

This single feels like stepping into another realm—gentle piano melodies intertwined with delicate harp and strings create a soundscape that’s both calming and deeply moving. It carries a quiet by rhymical, almost sacred energy, as if it’s telling an ancient story without words.

Perfect for moments of reflection, healing, or simply slowing down and being present.

If you’re looking for something beautiful to lose yourself in today, this is it.

Freyja. Goddess of Love. War. Magic. Freyja isn’t just beauty—she’s power. A fierce Norse goddess who chooses half of the fallen warriors, masters ancient magic, and walks between love and battle like it’s nothing. She reminds us: you can be soft and unstoppable. Channel your inner goddess. Own your desire. Protect your energy.

Freyja and Ragnarök: Love, Loss, and Power in Norse Mythology

In the vast and often brutal world of Norse mythology, few figures shine with as much complexity and intrigue as Freyja—the goddess of love, beauty, magic, and war. While many remember Ragnarök as a tale of destruction and the fall of the gods, Freyja’s presence within this mythic framework offers a deeper, more emotional lens through which to understand both the end of the world and the values of the Norse cosmos.

Freyja is not easily defined. She is at once a symbol of desire and fertility, and a formidable practitioner of seiðr, a powerful and mysterious form of magic associated with fate and transformation. She rides a chariot pulled by cats, weeps tears of gold, and possesses the coveted necklace Brísingamen—an object as radiant as her reputation. Yet beneath these poetic images lies a goddess deeply tied to both life and death.

Unlike many deities associated strictly with war, Freyja shares dominion over the fallen. While Odin gathers half of the slain warriors in Valhalla, Freyja welcomes the other half into her hall, Fólkvangr. This dual role places her at the very heart of conflict and consequence, making her an essential figure in the events leading up to Ragnarök.

Though the surviving myths do not provide a detailed account of Freyja’s fate during Ragnarök, her significance makes her impossible to ignore. As a goddess of love and fertility, she represents everything that stands to be lost in the great destruction—the beauty of the world, the bonds between beings, and the fragile continuity of life. Yet as a goddess of magic and war, she also embodies resilience, knowledge, and the power to endure.

Ragnarök itself is a story driven not only by violence, but by inevitability. The gods march toward their doom, fully aware of what awaits them. In this context, Freyja’s mastery of seiðr becomes especially poignant. Magic in Norse mythology is often linked to foresight and fate, suggesting that Freyja, like Odin, may have glimpsed the coming end. If so, her role becomes even more profound—not just as a participant in the mythic world, but as a witness to its unraveling.

What makes Freyja particularly compelling is her emotional depth. She is not a distant or purely symbolic figure; she feels, desires, mourns, and seeks. Her tears of gold are more than a poetic flourish—they reflect a world in which even gods experience loss. In the shadow of Ragnarök, this emotional dimension reminds us that the end of the world is not just a cosmic event, but a deeply personal one.

And yet, as with all things in Norse mythology, the story does not end in darkness alone.

Ragnarök gives way to renewal. The world rises again, green and fertile, echoing Freyja’s own domain over life and growth. Whether she survives or not, her essence—love, beauty, and the forces that sustain life—remains woven into the fabric of the reborn world.

Freyja, then, is more than a goddess caught in the storm of Ragnarök. She is a symbol of what makes the world worth saving, and what inevitably returns after even the greatest destruction.

In a myth defined by endings, Freyja reminds us of beginnings.

RAGNAROK — New Album by Earth Tree Healing (Out April 30th, 2026)

On April 30th, 2026, Earth Tree Healing unveils Ragnarok—an empowering original soundtrack that journeys through the mythic heart of Norse cosmology. Blending off-rhythm structures, immersive synth textures, powerful melodies, and moments of delicate beauty, this album is more than music—it is a sonic mythology.

Each track is inspired by a figure, realm, or force within Norse legend, creating a vast soundscape that feels both ancient and otherworldly. From gods and giants to the nine realms themselves, Ragnarok invites listeners into a world of chaos, transformation, and renewal.

Loki
The trickster god, Loki is a shapeshifter and master of deception. Neither fully ally nor enemy to the gods, he embodies chaos and unpredictability, ultimately playing a key role in the coming of Ragnarök.

Hel
Daughter of Loki, Hel rules over the realm of the dead that bears her name. She governs those who did not fall in battle, presiding over a cold and shadowed existence.

Odin
The Allfather and king of the gods, Odin is associated with wisdom, war, and death. He sacrificed greatly for knowledge, even giving one of his eyes, and prepares endlessly for Ragnarök.

Thor
God of thunder and protector of humanity, Thor wields his mighty hammer Mjölnir. He is a fierce warrior who stands against giants and chaos, destined to face the serpent Jörmungandr.

Freyja
A goddess of love, beauty, magic, and war, Freyja receives half of the fallen warriors into her hall. She is deeply connected to both life and death, embodying emotional and mystical power.

Jormungandr
The Midgard Serpent, child of Loki, encircles the world beneath the sea. Its eventual battle with Thor during Ragnarök will bring mutual destruction.

Fenrir
A monstrous wolf and another of Loki’s offspring, Fenrir is bound by the gods out of fear. At Ragnarök, he breaks free and devours Odin.

Sleipnir
Odin’s eight-legged horse, Sleipnir is the fastest of all steeds and can travel between worlds. He represents movement across realms and the connection between life and death.

Angrboda
A giantess and mother of Loki’s monstrous children, Angrboda is a figure of prophecy and wild, untamed power, deeply tied to fate and the darker forces of the cosmos.

Valkyries
These warrior maidens serve Odin by choosing which warriors will die in battle. They guide the fallen to Valhalla, shaping the destiny of heroes.

Valhalla
The great hall of Odin, where fallen warriors feast and prepare for the final battle. It is a place of honor, strength, and eternal readiness.

Bifrost
The rainbow bridge that connects Midgard (the world of humans) to Asgard (the realm of the gods). It is both a path and a boundary between worlds.

Yggdrasil
The immense world tree that connects all realms of existence. Its roots and branches stretch across the cosmos, holding together the fabric of reality.

Asgard
Home of the Aesir gods, including Odin and Thor. It is a realm of power, order, and divine authority.

Vanaheim
The home of the Vanir gods, associated with fertility, nature, and prosperity. It represents balance and harmony with the natural world.

Alfheim
A realm of light and beauty, inhabited by the Light Elves. It is often associated with radiance, purity, and subtle magic.

Midgard
The world of humans, situated at the center of the cosmos. It is protected by the gods but remains vulnerable to chaos and change.

Jotunheim
Land of the giants, beings often in opposition to the gods. It is a place of raw शक्ति, wilderness, and ancient forces.

Svartalfheim
Home of the dwarves, master craftsmen who forge powerful weapons and magical artifacts, including Thor’s hammer.

Helheim
The underworld realm ruled by Hel, where those who die of illness or old age reside. It is a place of stillness and shadow.

Niflheim
A primordial realm of ice, mist, and cold. One of the earliest worlds, it represents the frozen origins of existence.

Muspelheim
A realm of fire and heat, home to fire giants. Its flames play a crucial role in the destruction during Ragnarök.

Ragnarok
The final cataclysm—the fall of gods, the destruction of the world, and its ultimate rebirth. It is both an ending and a beginning.

Ragnarok by Earth Tree Healing is not just an album—it is an experience. A journey through myth, sound, and transformation. With its rich layers of synth, evocative piano, and cinematic depth, it invites you to feel the rise and fall of worlds.

Available April 30th, 2026.

Goddess 2 album 2.2.22

The arrival of my new album is new to you but old to me, as have enjoyed it months in advance. I held it back for release in ‘22 as got ahead of myself recording. Lockdown for me was a productive home studio blissful indulgence for musical hermits. I hope you get the same enjoyment listening to these, finding favorites, creating playlists of my music, as I do composing, recording and performing them. There is a favorite section/ bridge in The Triple Goddess 2 mins 46 seconds in that I love. It is the sound of love and divinity to my ears.

The follow up from my Earth Tree Healing album Goddess. (Track Goddess Temple is a worldwide favourite) Which accompanies the album GODS. Goddess 2 is released Second February Twenty Twenty Two. 2.2.22.

Music Links https://linktr.ee/earthtreehealing

I composed and recorded it at my home studio ‘Claudsville Studios‘ (which is also my meditation and art space and its way to small) most of it during the lockdowns of 2020/2021. I assure you! .. it was a great escape from the doom, gloom, loss and restrictions, fears and benefits of the Pandemic too. Without being a sign of the times. It is a captured reflection of my creativity during strange times, leaning to the advice, support, protection, love of Deities.

Its an ode and a conduit to connect. Music of dedication, essence. The Divine femininity of Deities. An album dedicated to melody, beauty and esoteric rhythms. Whilst there are lots of Goddesses to chose from. These are relevant, synchronistic and were chosen during this particular journey. You can go about your routines, rituals, relaxation to it. Whilst my partner Ange taught some of these Goddesses during her workshops via Zoom. I recorded their resonance.

Track Listing: I’ve selected articles for links on the name titles to articles on these Goddesses. But please do research for in-depth understandings.

The Triple Goddess

The Triple Goddess single released for Samhain 2021, from album Goddess 2 (released 2022) Much is written and practiced in various cultures. In Wiccan/Neopagan traditions. Honoring femininity of Maiden, Mother, Crone. Symbolizing differing moon phases. The moon waxing crescent, full moon, and a waning crescent. I composed in 3 parts with the intent of beauty, ritual, empowerment, moon phases and magic, darkness.

Its a beautiful piece of ambient new age synthesizer music I hope many will embrace and enjoy.

The Triple Goddess

Honouring Maiden, Mother and Crone aligning with phases of the moon. The Triple Deities that are worshipped as one in various belief systems. Bit of info to peruse here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_deity here https://wiccaliving.com/wiccan-triple-goddess/ and here https://www.encyclopedia.com/religion/legal-and-political-magazines/triple-goddess

I just finished the album – Goddess 2. Pretty pleased as I’m ahead in album composition and recording in my home studio – which has been my lockdown sanctuary and a hub of productivity. As well as the ambient ‘Pilgrimage of Elements’ releasing at the end of August 2021. I’m all set for Goddess 2.

My Track ‘The Triple Goddess’ musically entertains 3 sections to represent each part.

Vlog and music clips here: (restricted mode)

I’ve rearranged the album track order, to begin the journey with a more haunting, ethereal feel. As there area a few upbeat and melodic tracks.

Whilst my Altar worships the Goddess and her forms. I also wanted to accompany my popular track ‘Goddess Temple’ with The Triple Goddess.

Album Goddess 2 will be released 2022.

Composing FRIGG – Goddess 2

As spring catapults my happy vibes into sunshine land. A few days annual leave in lockdown has allowed some serious home studio time. (A needed break from NHS day job land)
I spent the day composing & recording FRIGG for my 2022 album – GODDESS 2. I wanted to experiment and challenge myself with a lot more live instruments, rather than just midi sounds on Logic Pro X.
A brilliant wellbeing boost.
We had got up early to venture to the river (a local blessing during pandemic restrictions) having done a long walk the previous day (for us) on the journey to better fitness. My knees were murderous following it. Venturing out, whilst social distancing during shielding is a novelty. But after lockdown #1 over indulgences and laziness during working from home. (It’s started so well too!) We have both incorporated healthier eating and much needed exercise into lockdown 3. No crisps on the monthly internet shop! I do love Ange’s swearing and BF’s when we get the delivery of bulk goods that she lugs into the kitchen. Rarely will we need to visit supermarkets now. Farm shops selling local produce from small businesses is our weekly fresh shopping. I can’t thank The Real Milk Company enough.

It’s a long, but sensible road ahead…. (I won’t be posting weigh ins on social media – as it pisses me off when others do it, to only put twice as much weight back on, once their ‘diets’ end) We are entertaining some of the secret stalkers and virtually interacting with Ange’s family down south with ‘Ange’s lockdown Gousto live cooking videos’ and other troffing experiences. We can’t eat out, so eating in is the new thing. Can’t beat a good cull and unfollow or others uninteresting, joy vacuuming negative and argumentative shite. Give me Batzilla the bat or @celinaspookboo frankly hilarious sleepwalking exploits on TikTok any day.

Ours is a gradual lifestyle change. Removal of unhealthy snacks and better managing portion sizes, along with exercise is making both of us feel better.

Watching the sunrise through river mists is an ethereal experience. Whilst hints of winter still cools ones toes. The sunshine warms up my hope for better days of freedom outdoors and normality. With our April Cyprus holiday cancelled. Ange & my sister in law are surprising us with a mystery 2022 big holiday abroad. I love a good surprise! We frantically scrambled to book a short Cornwall break (lockdown end permitting) in May. So at least we get to see the sea. Fingers, legs and fanny crossed!

Ange had her covid vaccine. So whilst pandering to her every need (as she had mine afterwards) copious cups of tea. I spent Sunday 28th Feb 2021 having a wonderful indulgent time improvising aka composing. Featuring acoustic guitar, tongue drums, kalimba, tambourine, baroque organ and love eggs.
Whereas filming myself does disrupt my creative flow slightly, it really is a great way to remember my journey. Watch my video of the session here. A really good accomplished day. It also feels good to get out of a PMT driven funk.

Earth Tree Healing – GODS album launch interview with Claudine West & Angela Barker. Watch the discussions with Claudine West and Angela Barker.

The intention said and ask has been made. The musical channelling has begun. It floats and ideas, feelings, notes, sounds rhythms. The week of 22nd July 2020 (my first full week of annual leave for a very long time.) Lockdown in the UK did not provide me with Furlough opportunities. I work full time in the NHS. The first 3 months of working in Procurement during lockdown have seen the biggest challenges and fantastic coming together of teams within the team. ‘Unprecedented.’ A word that has been over used and banned in our household! ‘Some form of normality.’ Dear reader. You know the rest, the story, the news, politics, conspiracies, wrong and right decisions, social media commentary, opinions, facts, truths, manipulations, speculations, lies, arguments, finger pointing, hoarding toilet roll (you can never have enough!) indulgence, weigh gain, dancing nurses, lots of dancing nurses! I stated at the start of this people will be remembered for their actions and behaviours during this. They sure will…

The tragedy of lost loved ones, friends, colleagues has been the hardest. The fear will affect many for years to come. Through the darkness, the grieving, the anger, the why them, why me. The collective love of nations. The clap for carers, for front line workers. For people dropping off food parcels. People fundraising or supporting those who cant help themselves. Some would call you Angels. All are heroes.

Unless of course. You switched it all off, indulged in Netflix. kept safe and entertained yourself and looked after your wellbeing, exercised? Did you? Are you? If you tried meditation for the first time, good habits can create good feelings.

With my soulmate Angela Barker https://angelabarkertarot.com/ suggesting I follow up Goddess (she has been pestering for a while) composing and recording began. Even though I’m busy with other collaborations (some really exciting stuff TBA and released) It was comforting to indulge with Earth Tree Healing music. I sent my intention, meditate, connect.

Goddess Album Review – One World Music Radio

Take a moment to read in words what I created musically. A wonderful review of my new album. Thank you Steve Sheppard at One World Music Radio.

https://www.oneworldmusic.co.uk/album-reviews/4577256830

“Goddess by Earth Tree Healing is one of those albums that captures your heart as it plays, it has 14 tracks within the album, but each one is manifested with such unique methodology and musical prowess that you never drift off and you literally can’t wait for the next offering to arrive.
To be honest this has been a refreshing change for me and one that I really enjoyed immensely, I have no problem recommending this release, it is inventive, artistic, well thought out and professionally produced and played, this album is what the new age music genre really needed right now.”

Full Review By Steve Sheppard at One World Music Radio https://www.oneworldmusic.co.uk/album-reviews/4577256830

Goddess By Earth Tree Healing Written by Steve Sheppard I first came across Earth Tree Healing (Claudine West) just a few years ago with the release of her impressive album 8 Sabbats. The album intrigued me as does this latest release Goddess. Be ready now for a voyage of voyages within the realms of this release and our starting point is Artemis. As you can imagine we have many buildings with this name here in Cyprus, the Greek goddess of the hunt and a daughter of Zeus. The steady purposeful movement on the keyboards here is a reminder of her stealth and guile perhaps. Next up is one of the most beautiful tracks off the album, it’s has a wonderfully reflective quality and quite mournful in parts, and called Selene. Selene is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister of the sun-god Helios, the latter very well known here on the island, at just short of ten minutes, this is the longest track off the release and to be honest I wouldn’t have minded if it had been 19 minutes long it is simply divine, this is new age ambiance at its very best. The shadow of Hecate now drifts over our senses, the goddess of magic and all that moves in the dark realms of the night. This is the complete opposite of the last track with an intense percussive beat and some fantastic string work, creating an atmosphere of ritual and energy being raised, a full flowing harp also adds weight to what is a superbly powerful composition. How can one not get swept away by the sheer beauty of this next offering called Gaia, for those who are not sure, she is the Greek goddess of land and Earth, the mother of all life, and we must all be grateful she lets us walk on her back. The keyboard structures a really charming musical narrative here that is almost film score in style, and draws the portrait of our mother with a pristine clarity through music. I must admit I was really looking forward to this one, as we live on the island of love and just a few miles from Aphrodite’s birthplace at Petra tou Romiou, a beautiful place to visit and just a few miles east of my current location. The composition Aphrodite is idyllic, I could sit at her rock by the ocean and listen to this piece; it is so redolent of the subject matter. The gentle keyboards remind me in parts of some of the more ambient work of UK electronic musician Kevin Kendle and yes you have guessed it, this was my favourite piece off the release. I have now played this three times in a row, simply stunning indeed. Goddess Temple is now upon us, there is a real lightness of spirit about this offering that is so very compelling. There is a slight intensity of performance here which is fantastically alluring and the perfect track to place, as we edge ever closer to the mid-way point in the album, very classy work indeed. So that mid-way juncture has been reached and by doing so we have opened a portal up to the next composition called Bast, as now we travel over the ocean to Egypt to find, the protector of Cats, the warrior daughter of the great Ra himself. The smooth performance on this offering gives us an image of this sun drenched location with ease, and the keyboards and effects really manifest something so redolent of the subject matter. It seems as if this album was destined to land in my lap as now I move to the land of my ancestors in Wales and we visit the goddess Cerridwen, she who is the mistress of rebirth, transformation and inspiration. Listen out for the melody on this track it is addictive and beautifully constructed and the performances on keyboards is delightful and crafted sublimely. Now we must watch and enjoy the tones of this next composition with a deep seated interest, as we are presented the piece Morrigan, and our journey has taken us over the sea once again to Ireland. Morrigan, the great queen of the phantoms is a rhythmic track of great percussive quality and a stylish bass line. The Irish energy is strong in this one, as is the almost hypnotic performance on keyboards, a compelling arrangement indeed. One of my other favourites now plays before us, as we stay in Ireland for the track Brigid. The guitar here is so full and colourful it is a total pleasure to listen to, add the keyboards to this majesty and you have a truly poetic offering, which of course should be a given, as Brigid was considered the patron of arts, crafts and poetry among other things. This has to be the most charming arrangement off the album with ease. The percussive start for this next opus entitled Athena is startlingly superb and almost a little rocky in parts, which I have no problem with at all, the keyboards manifest a wondrous composition about the goddess who is credited to have brought and been responsible for, bringing the first Olive Tree into the world. There is a really clever regal element weaved into this composition which make it so powerful and attractive to listen to. We have now entered into the deeper waters of the release and have journeyed long and far to the east for this next composition called Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity. The performance here almost manifests a slight chill out styled motif, one that has a specific sense of the subject matter beautifully portrayed, with a stylish percussion and a delightful and fluent keyboard all contained within. For our penultimate offering we stay in India and pay a visit to the goddess of time, creation, destruction and power, Kali. Now you may have expected an all guns firing rhythmic offering here, but the artist has been really clever and crated a composition the flows with the benevolence of a mother who protects her children from misfortune. The sensitive performance on keyboards here truly shows what a class act the artist is and further highlights a whole new side to the goddess Kali. So to finish this project off with style, let’s raise the energy for the last offering called Dance of the Goddess. This is a track that simply does what it says on the can, a smooth dance motif is created by a compelling performance on keyboards and simply the most relevant way possible to close down what has been a simply fantastic journey of myth, magic and goddess for us all to enjoy. Goddess by Earth Tree Healing is one of those albums that captures your heart as it plays, it has 14 tracks within the album, but each one is manifested with such unique methodology and musical prowess that you never drift off and you literally can’t wait for the next offering to arrive. To be honest this has been a refreshing change for me and one that I really enjoyed immensely, I have no problem recommending this release, it is inventive, artistic, well thought out and professionally produced and played, this album is what the new age music genre really needed right now.
